International College of Beijing University of science and technology

Founded in 1952 by the Department of mining and metallurgy of six famous universities in China, including Tianjin University (formerly Beiyang University) and Tsinghua University, Beijing University of science and technology has developed into a national key university directly under the Ministry of education with engineering as the main subject and coordinated development of engineering, science, management, arts, economics, law and other disciplines. It is one of the first batch of institutions of higher learning to officially establish graduate schools in China. In May 1997, the University was one of the first batch to enter the ranks of "211 Project" universities. In 2006, the University became the first batch of "985 Project" advantage discipline innovation platform construction project pilot universities.

As a direct subordinate college of Beijing University of science and technology, international college undertakes the recruitment, teaching and management of international undergraduate programs in cooperation with the overseas study service center of the Ministry of education. The college has cooperated with universities in the United States, Japan and other countries to carry out international project exchange classes. Adhering to the fine tradition of the University, relying on abundant educational resources, the college has continuously opened up international educational exchange channels, and cultivated a large number of talents with the knowledge level of Beijing University of science and technology and foreign excellent universities.
