Tangshan Vocational College of science and technology is a provincial state run full-time higher vocational college approved by the people's Government of Hebei Province and put on record by the Ministry of education. It is subordinate to Tangshan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. at the college level.

Tangshan is an important northern industrial town with a hundred year history and the cradle of modern industry. The first modern coal mine, the first standard gauge railway, the first steam locomotive and the first bag of cement were born here. It has profound science and technology, industry and culture. The outspoken urban character of Tangshan people has created miracles and created generations of heroes. Tangshan Vocational College of science and technology is located in it. The college is divided into main campus, adult education campus, secondary school campus and training campus, covering a total area of 363 mu. Walking into the main campus, there are trees, flowers, willows and branches, warblers singing and swallows dancing, pearls falling from the central fountain, white pigeons flying in the blue sky. A teaching building with a construction area of 10000 square meters stands on the north side of the campus. It is magnificent and can provide 4000 students with classes at the same time. The new 7000 square meters teaching and training building can carry out multimedia teaching, numerical control, lathe work, electrical training and dozens of teaching experiments.

The standard track and field field field of 400m 8-track has basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis fields. The indoor fitness field can be used by hundreds of teachers and students at the same time.

The catering center, dormitory management center and Property Center of the logistics service corporation provide all-round services for teachers and students. In the main campus, the first, second and Muslim canteens, three two-story villa style female apartment and three five story strip style new apartment are spacious, bright and well equipped, which can accommodate 4000 people. The shopping supermarket, beauty salon, solar bathroom and laundry of the property center serve the students all day.

The college has a full-time teacher team with master's degree students as the backbone, with more than 90% of middle and senior professional titles, and a large number of "double qualification" teachers who understand both theory and operation.

The college consists of metallurgy department, mechanical and electrical department, computer department and finance department, as well as basic department, adult education department and technical secondary school department. The main specialties are: metallurgy technology, material engineering technology, mechatronics technology, numerical control technology, maintenance and utilization of electromechanical equipment, application of automatic production equipment. Popular majors are: computer application technology, tourism management, economic information management, etc.

The college has a vocational skill appraisal station, which can appraise the primary, middle and advanced skills of more than 150 general and professional technical types of work, and can issue qualification certificates certified by the national labor department.
