The predecessor of Xi'an Electric Power College is Xi'an Electric Power College, which was founded in 1953. In March 1994, it was upgraded to Xi'an Electric Power College, affiliated to the State Grid Corporation of China. Xi'an Electric Power College is the only Electric Power College in Northwest Power Grid and Shaanxi power grid, which has the characteristics of multi-level, multi specification and multi type. In April 1999, Xi'an Electric Power College merged with northwest electric power workers University to establish northwest electric power workers training center, which realized the sharing of educational resources.
