Liaoning Vocational and Technical College of equipment manufacturing is located in Huishan scenic spot in the east of Shenyang, covering an area of 538 mu, with a construction area of 150000 square meters, including 29000 square meters of practice workshop, training studio and Manufacturing Expo Center, with teaching equipment and instruments worth 38.5 million yuan. At present, the college has 6 departments of mechanical engineering, automatic control, information engineering, economic management, humanities and Social Sciences, and art and design, with 6290 students.

Liaoning equipment manufacturing vocational and technical college was established rapidly and efficiently in 2006 by Liaoning provincial government integrating the former Higher Vocational College of Liaoning Radio and TV University and other social resources. The orientation of the college is to serve the national rejuvenation strategy, closely focus on the development of modern equipment manufacturing industry, especially flexible manufacturing and other advanced manufacturing technologies, cultivate high-quality skilled talents in production, construction, management and service, and provide support and guarantee for the adjustment of human resource structure and upgrading of industrial structure in China's equipment manufacturing industry.

Since its inception, the college has been built in accordance with the requirements of the provincial government to show its high standards. After more than two years of efforts, it has laid a foundation for further upgrading its connotation. It has become one of the key support projects for the development of vocational education during the Eleventh Five Year Plan period in Liaoning Province.

With the upgrading of the industrial structure, the college will gradually transform and upgrade the traditional majors, and develop large-scale equipment manufacturing technology, high and new technology, environmental friendly and clean manufacturing technology and other majors that reflect the forefront of the development of equipment manufacturing industry.

With the combination of work and study as the breakthrough point, the college has established school enterprise cooperation committee with 10 core large enterprises in Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry, established school enterprise cooperation relationship with more than 200 enterprises such as Shenyang AVIC Liming enterprise group, Shenyang Machine Tool Group and China Nonferrous Metals Shenyang Metallurgical Machinery Co., Ltd., carried out order training with enterprises such as China Nonferrous Metals Shenyang Metallurgical Machinery Co., Ltd., and cooperated with Liaoning Jinhuan Cable Co., Ltd. jointly runs the cable major with Shenyang machine tool and other enterprises, and carries out all-round cooperation with enterprises in specialty setting, curriculum, teaching materials, internship, employment and other aspects, so as to explore the talent training mode based on real work tasks or services.

The college adopts the methods of introduction, training, scientific research and technical service to build a "double qualified" teaching staff. There are 357 full-time teachers, of which 74.5% are double qualified teachers. Five teachers have been rated as excellent backbone teachers in Liaoning Province, and the teaching team of numerical control technology has been rated as provincial excellent teaching team. In addition, more than 130 people with practical experience have been employed as part-time teachers from industry and enterprises.

The college and enterprises jointly build characteristic specialties, jointly formulate talent training programs, jointly develop curriculum system and teaching content based on the working process of enterprises, integrate corresponding national vocational standards, and implement the "double certificate" system. In the first two years, students are mainly trained on campus, some courses and practical skills courses are taught by enterprise engineering and technical personnel and industry experts, and in the third year, intensive training is carried out in the enterprise production environment according to the requirements of enterprise positions.

The college is focusing on the construction of 25 high-quality core courses and supporting teaching materials, courseware and other teaching resources. Among them, mechanical drawing and programmable controller are provincial excellent courses. 58 kinds of teaching materials and 124 kinds of courseware have been compiled, and a new round of curriculum standard development of work study combination based on working process has been carried out in practical courses such as numerical control operation training and fitter training.

The college insists on improving quality as its lifeline. We have established quality standards and work norms such as "teachers' classroom teaching norms", "measures for dealing with teaching accidents" and "methods for assessing teachers' work quality". We have sound management systems for quality evaluation, assessment and incentive, and strict process management. Last year, one student of our school won the third place in Liaoning Vocational College Practical Oral English competition and the sixth place in Liaoning numerical control competition.

The college attaches importance to the cultivation of teachers' service ability in scientific and technological development, and encourages teachers to actively serve enterprises and communities. In recent years, four of the scientific research projects jointly completed with enterprises have won the second prize of provincial and ministerial level, three have won the national patent, 38 have won the provincial teaching achievement award, and 20000 people have been trained in various vocational skills.

The college has first-class modern teaching and management facilities in the province, realizing various functions such as network teaching, management and teaching support services. There are 165000 book collections and digital libraries.

The party and government leading group of the college has a strong sense of enterprise and advanced school running concept. At the beginning of its establishment, the Party committee of the college put forward the school running concept of "professionalization of specialty setting, standardization of talent specifications, integration of curriculum content, three-dimensional teaching methods, substantiation of school enterprise cooperation, and full process of employment service", and defined five major construction tasks of specialty, team, culture, facilities, and management. What's more valuable is that the leading group pays special attention to improving its own executive ability and identifies its goals, so that it can lead the masses to struggle and practice. The vice governor in charge of education commented: "the working standard and spirit of the leading group of the college should be praised in the whole province.".
