Gaozhou Normal College of Maoming university has a long history. Its predecessor is "Maoming county normal school" and "Guangdong Province Gaozhou women's normal school", founded in 1930. Gaozhou Normal College of Maoming University also has a fine revolutionary tradition. In 1940, Deng Linzhang, Secretary of Maoming county Party committee, Chen Hua, Minister of propaganda, and Che Zhenlun, under the cover of teaching in Maoming Normal University, united with progressive teachers Zhou Mengji and Lu Shifeng to organize progressive students to attend reading clubs to publicize our party's Anti Japanese War ideas, and developed progressive students Zhong Zhengshu, Zheng Guangliang, long Siyun, Li Ming, Li Yinian, Li Naizhu, Wu Liangcai and Gu Yu in the school Ming, Liang Deyu and others joined the Communist Party of China. Lin Qicai, the leader of the underground party organization in Maoming County, discussed with Xu Junwen, Ke Yifu and Wu Shiyuan, members of the Maoming division Party branch, as well as Feng zhuchao and Li Kuangyi, members of the guerrilla group, and decided to make the best use of the situation to launch the school teachers and students to fight against hunger. Through a strike, a petition and a demonstration, they finally won the fight. During the Anti Japanese War and the war of liberation, Maoshi's underground party members and guerrilla group members actively participated in the revolutionary movement, and many of them became the backbone of our party's underground work and revolutionary guerrilla war.
