Normal College of Beijing Union University, formerly known as branch of Beijing Normal University established in 1978, changed its name to vocational and Technical Normal College of Beijing Union University in 1985 and its current name in 2003. The Institute is a Beijing Municipal Public University with higher education enrollment qualification approved by the Ministry of education. It mainly trains teachers for Beijing secondary vocational schools and Beijing ordinary secondary schools, and trains senior professional and technical talents for the economic and social development of the capital. The college is mainly run at the undergraduate level, and there are also some higher vocational (junior college) majors. At present, there are undergraduate majors in art and design, musicology, electronic information engineering, computer science and technology, biotechnology, food science and engineering, applied psychology, finance, accounting, English, Chinese language and literature, as well as foreign secretary, accounting, e-commerce, computer application technology (Network), digital media technology, technical supervision and commodity inspection, computer art design and service There are 3200 students majoring in costume design and technology, music performance and communication.

With the loan from the world bank, the supporting funds from the municipal government and the special funds from the Municipal Education Commission, the college has successively established a number of high-level experimental, practical and practical bases, such as audio-visual education center, food safety laboratory, voice classroom, computing center, clothing CAD, decoration laboratory, embedded technology research center, comprehensive economic laboratory, digital piano room, digital recording studio, digital film and television production, etc .

At present, the college has 342 staff and 200 full-time teachers, including 292 professional and technical personnel, 11 professors, 58 associate professors (including senior engineers, senior experimenters and associate researchers) and 9 doctors (postdoctoral). A number of scholars and experts at home and abroad have been employed as renowned professors or part-time professors.

The college has continuously deepened education reform, strengthened management, and strictly governed the school. The quality of education and the level of running the school have been steadily improved. Since its establishment for more than 20 years, the college has trained nearly 10000 university graduates for the country, and many of them have become the backbone, experts and scholars of education and other fronts.

The college attaches great importance to the employment of graduates. Over the years, graduates have been welcomed and praised by employers in the capital job market, and the employment rate has exceeded 95% for five consecutive years.
