Heze University

Heze University, located in Heze City, Shandong Province, is a comprehensive undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of education in 2004. Heze University was founded in 1949 and developed on the basis of Heze normal school in Hebei, Shandong and Henan. It was rebuilt into Heze normal college in 1958 and has a history of 60 years.

The school is divided into three teaching and living areas: North Campus, east campus and west campus, covering an area of 1414 Mu and a building area of nearly 490000 square meters. With luxuriant flowers and trees, green grass, elegant environment and pleasant scenery, each campus is an ideal garden for studying. The university has 46 laboratories including modern physics, molecular biology, network technology center, analysis and testing center, exercise physiology, etc., and the value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 60.42 million yuan. It has a library of 26700 square meters, with a collection of 1015000 paper books and 630000 e-books. It subscribes to more than 3000 kinds of periodicals all year round. It has a modern e-book reading system, and has opened Tsinghua Tongfang Chinese Journal Full-text Database, Wanfang science and technology information subsystem, China Dissertation Full-text Database and National People's Congress copy newspaper full-text database, which can meet the teaching, scientific research and learning needs of teachers and students.

At present, the university has 23 teaching units, 35 general undergraduate majors and 37 general junior college majors, involving nine university disciplines such as economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture and management. At present, the school has more than 18000 full-time students and more than 10000 students in continuing education and distance education.

The school has 1350 staff, including 55 professors (grade), 363 associate professors (grade), 389 doctors and masters. 199 experts with master's degree, doctor's degree and senior professional title are employed as part-time professors. Among the teachers, there are 1 national outstanding scientific and technological worker, 2 experts enjoying the special allowance of the State Council Government, 2 middle-aged and young experts with outstanding contributions in Shandong Province, 2 outstanding young intellectuals pacesetters in Shandong Province, 3 famous teaching teachers in Colleges and universities in Shandong Province, and 1 provincial teaching team. 12 of them have been identified as top-notch professional and technical talents in the province and the city, and 10 of them have won Zeng Xianzi Education Fund Awards.

The school always takes the teaching work as the most important work, vigorously strengthens the central position of teaching, constantly deepens the teaching reform, the teaching management is increasingly standardized, and the teaching quality is steadily improved. At present, there are 12 provincial and school level key disciplines, 5 key laboratories, and 6 provincial characteristic specialties and excellent courses.

The University adheres to the road of prospering the university through scientific research, constantly improves the scientific research management system, and intensifies the campus academic atmosphere. In recent years, our university has undertaken 30 scientific research projects at or above the provincial level, won 10 national patents, published more than 2500 papers and more than 100 monographs. Journal of Heze University, as the scientific research garden of Heze University, has successively won the first prize of national college journal, the second prize of excellent science and Technology Journal of Ministry of education, national excellent social science journal and national excellent local university journal.

According to the development plan of the school, all teachers and students of the school are united, pioneering and enterprising, the teaching quality and scientific research level of the school have been significantly improved, the scale, quality, structure and efficiency have been developed in a coordinated way, and a number of works have been commended and awarded by the higher authorities. Shandong provincial Party committee, provincial government and Heze municipal Party committee and municipal government attach great importance to the construction and development of Heze University. They put strengthening the construction of Heze University into the focus of "the Eleventh Five Year Plan for national economic and social development of Heze City", and gave a number of supporting policies in terms of capital investment and talent introduction. At present, the planning scheme of Heze University phase II project has been initially selected. According to this plan, after the completion of phase II project, the north campus will cover an area of 1742.1 mu, which can accommodate 25000 students.
