Dongfang College of Fujian agriculture and Forestry University

Dongfang College of Fujian agriculture and Forestry University is an independent college which was applied by Fujian agriculture and Forestry University in 2002 and approved by the Ministry of education at the end of 2003 to implement full-time undergraduate education. The college is located on the beautiful Langqi island on the coast of the East China Sea. The college covers an area of more than 500 mu, with a school building area of 90000 square meters. The library has a collection of 350000 books, and the campus network has covered the whole school.   

Since its founding six years ago, the college adheres to the school running philosophy of "people-oriented, mechanism innovation, quality and efficiency, and characteristics", and develops steadily. At present, the college has six disciplines of science, engineering, economics, management, arts and law, with six departments, 19 majors (including professional direction), and more than 7000 students. The college makes full use of the abundant teaching staff, teaching management experience and other comprehensive advantages of Fujian agriculture and Forestry University, which has a 72 year history of running a school. It aims at creating a beautiful educational environment, takes the market and social needs as the guidance, takes students as the foundation, and focuses on teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, so as to cultivate compound high-quality talents needed by the economic construction of the west coast of the Straits.

In 2005, the expert group of the Ministry of education conducted a special evaluation on the national independent college, and our college was rated as one of the "top 100 colleges" and considered as an independent college with "advanced school running concept, distinctive teaching characteristics, good social reputation and broad development prospects". At the same time, the China Alumni Association announced the 2006 List of China's independent colleges, and our college ranked 73rd, ranking among the top in Fujian Province.

The campus is close to the mountains and the sea, with beautiful scenery, complete teaching and living facilities. It is an ideal place for students to seek knowledge and further study.
