Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering

Chongqing Vocational College of electronic engineering is a full-time ordinary university sponsored by Chongqing municipal government, supervised by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, and jointly constructed by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and Chongqing Municipal Economic and Information Commission. Founded in 1965, it became the first higher vocational college in Chongqing in 1999. It is one of the 100 national model higher vocational colleges built by the Ministry of education and the Ministry of finance. It is also the vice president unit of China Higher Vocational and Technical Education Research Association and vice president unit of Chongqing Higher Education Association.

The basic conditions are superior. The school covers an area of 1365 mu, with fixed assets of 1.42 billion yuan, school buildings of 518300 square meters, teaching and scientific research equipment of 167 million yuan, 20355 students and 1.2055 million books.

The teaching staff is strong. There are 1052 faculty members, including 57 doctors, 58 professors (2 second level professors) and 296 teachers with deputy senior titles or above.

In recent two years, it has won two first prizes and one second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award (the school has won the first prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award for two consecutive times, which is the first in Chongqing universities, and only two colleges have won the first and second prizes in more than 1300 Higher Vocational Colleges in China). On April 27, 2017, Guangzhou daily data and digital Institute (GDI) released "2017 Guangzhou Daily Higher Vocational College ranking list", which is the first full sample Higher Vocational College ranking list released by mainstream media in China, and also a professional public welfare list evaluated and released by authoritative media as a third party. With a comprehensive index of 90.6287, the University ranks seventh among 1358 Higher Vocational Colleges in China.
