Daqing vocational college is located in Saertu District of Daqing City, which is the "green city of oil and chemical industry, the city of natural lakes, the hometown of hot springs in northern China" and the "charming city of China". The college is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the people's Government of Heilongjiang Province and registered by the Ministry of education. The college is administratively affiliated to Daqing Oilfield Company of PetroChina group. Now it has a history of more than 60 years. It is the key comprehensive training base of PetroChina and the only "National Model Higher Vocational College" in Heilong Province, which mainly focuses on petroleum and petrochemical major.

The six departments of higher vocational education have set up more than 40 majors represented by petroleum engineering technology, oil and gas storage and transportation technology, petrochemical production technology and petroleum equipment manufacturing technology. At present, three national demonstration specialties, two national key specialties and four provincial key specialties have been built. The national demonstration specialty has become the leading characteristic brand specialty in China, and the training base is at the leading level of similar universities.

There are 297 full-time teachers in higher vocational education, including 112 teachers with senior titles; 80 teachers with master's degree or above, including 5 doctors and 1 postdoctoral; 3 provincial famous teachers, 3 provincial teaching rookies, 1 provincial young teaching expert, 3 provincial adult education teaching experts and 10 municipal (bureau) level teachers; 1 provincial excellent teaching team has been built; There are 223 "double qualified" teachers and 21 "three qualified" teachers. It has built a National Demonstrative Higher Vocational College. In 2008, the national investment project was established, and in 2011, it became a national model higher vocational college. In 2012, it successfully passed the evaluation of higher vocational talent training level of the Ministry of education. One national excellent course, 13 provincial excellent courses and 35 college excellent courses have been built.

It has built a comprehensive training base with complete functions. Relying on petroleum industry enterprises and introducing advanced vocational education concepts, the college has built a "five in one" practice and training base integrating teaching, training, production, scientific research, skill appraisal and other functions, meeting the needs of "teaching, learning and doing" integrated teaching. 142 training bases (training rooms) have been built, including 8 simulation training rooms. Petroleum engineering training base, petrochemical training base, numerical control training base, welding training base and accounting computerization training room have become national key training bases. The computer network comprehensive training base has been determined as the provincial "key construction professional training base".

The "full order" talent training mode of school enterprise deep cooperation has been innovated. We have explored the talent training mode of "work study integration, moral and technical training", implemented the "full order" training of school enterprise in-depth cooperation, and all the students participated in the whole process of enrollment, education and training, practical training, graduation and employment. In 2015, 16 enterprises and colleges signed a "full order" training plan for 485 students, and the training proportion will reach more than 50%.

Graduates' employment and upgrading from college to University

In the past five years, the year-end employment rate of Higher Vocational Graduates in our college is more than 90%, and the initial employment signing rate in 2014 is 94%.

Among them, more than 60% are employed in Daqing City, about 5% are employed in Daqing Oilfield, and about 10% are promoted from college to university. There are more than 500 enterprises where graduates are employed, and the number of large enterprises and state-owned enterprises is increasing year by year. In June 2013, four graduates, including Zhang yourong, Zhao Jianglei, Qiu Zhiqiang and fan Zhixin, successfully entered Baker Hughes, the third largest petroleum engineering technology service company in the world, realizing a new breakthrough in international employment of graduates. With the rapid development of local economy in Daqing, Volvo, Lenovo and other large enterprises have successively entered, as well as the construction of "Centennial Oilfield". In the future, more graduates will land and take root in Daqing, becoming an important talent support for the sound and rapid development of regional economy.

Our College encourages students to further their studies and creates conditions for students to upgrade their academic qualifications. The first is to provide after-school guidance for the unified entrance examination. In the past three years, the entrance examination rate of fresh graduates in our college has been more than 40%, and the number of graduates who have been promoted to college respectively accounts for more than 10% of the total number of graduates, more than 5% of the province's average. Second, as the network education and learning center of China University of petroleum and Northeast University of Finance and economics, higher vocational students can participate in their "college to university" study after enrollment, and can obtain the undergraduate diploma and bachelor's degree certificate as well as the junior college diploma. Third, all departments of the college offer self-taught examination classes. After entering the college, higher vocational students can sign up, study in their spare time, and take part in the national "college to university" self-taught examination twice a year.
