[plant morphology] Callicarpa kwangtungensis
Shrub, 0.8-2 m high. Branchlets slightly stellate hairy. Leaves opposite, papery, narrowly elliptic lanceolate, 10-20 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, apex acute, base narrowly cuneate, margin serrate, glabrous on both sides, densely covered with golden glandular dots below, lateral veins 12-14 pairs, protruding below; petiole about 1 cm long. Cyme axillary; peduncle 0.5-0.8 cm long, densely short hairy; bracts lanceolate, small; calyx 4-lobed, calyx teeth obtuse triangular; corolla white, tubular, apex 4-lobed; stamens 4, filaments as long as corolla; ovary superior, glandular, 4-locular. Drupe globose, ca. 3 mm in diam., purple.
