[plant morphology] Stellaria japonica
Herbs biennial, 10-28 cm high. The stem is delicate and soft, the lower part is prostrate, the node has adventitious roots, the upper part is oblique, forked branches, except for one row of fine hairs on one side, the rest are smooth and glabrous, light green. The leaves are opposite, narrowly ovate to broadly ovate. The leaves in the lower part of the stem have winglike petioles, while the upper leaves have no petioles. Flowers white, solitary in axils of leaves, or in terminal scattered cymes. Fruit ovate or oblong. The flowering period is April. The fruit period is from May to June.
Born in sunny hillside roadside, piedmont, ridge edge and garden grass. Distributed in Zhejiang and other places.
