[plant morphology] Wisteria
Deciduous climbing shrubs. The stem twines around other things. It is composed of 7-11 leaflets, ovate lanceolate or oblong lanceolate, 4-7 cm long, with a larger tip; the apex of leaflet is acuminate, the base is broad cuneate; it is densely covered with fine hairs when young, and glabrous when mature. Raceme lateral, inverted, 15-30 cm long; pedicel weak, hairy, 1-2 cm long; calyx campanulate, 5-toothed, densely hairy; corolla butterfly shaped, blue purple, flag large, reflexive, base with 2 appendages, wing base with ears, keel blunt, falcate; stamen 2-body; style bent in, stigma terminal. The pods are long and flat, 10-20 cm long, densely villous. Seeds oblate, 1-3 grains. The flowering period is from March to April. The fruit period is from September to October.
Most of them are planted in gardens. Distributed in Northeast, Shandong, Henan, Hebei, Shaanxi, Hubei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Guangdong and other places.

[chemical constituents] the bark contains Wisteria glycosides and resin. The leaves contained luteolin 7-rhamnoside, luteolin 7-rhamnoside and apigenin 7-rhamnoside. Fresh leaves contain vitamin C 109 mg%. The content of volatile oil was 0.6-0.95%, and the content of allantoin and allantoic acid was 27% of the total nitrogen. It also contains heptane and 22,23-diazstigmasterol.
