[plant morphology] Hemerocallis officinalis

Creeping, perennial herbs, or upper part of stem raised, more or less hairy, rooting on nodes. The leaf is herbaceous; elliptic ovate, 3-7 cm long, 1.5-4 cm wide, apex obtuse or short pointed, base sharply contracted into a broad stalk, sheath and petiole covered with sparse hairs.
