Herbaceous, 20-35 cm high, densely pilose throughout. There are many branches. The root leaves are lanceolate; the stem leaves are alternate, and the base extends downward to form membranous sheath. Inflorescences short spike, dense, axillary or terminal; flowers basket colored. Capsule.
Born in the sunny sparse forest and grass. It is distributed in Yunnan, Taiwan and Guangdong.
