[source] it is the fruit and seed of Rosaceae plant Prunus persica.
[plant morphology] Prunus persica
Deciduous shrub or small tree, 3-5M high. Branchlets smooth, reddish when young, grayish brown when old. Leaves alternate, ovate or oblong obovate, apex acute or short caudate, base round or heart-shaped, margin densely serrate, petiole apex often with 2 discoid glands. Flowers white, 3-9 arranged into racemes, bracts leaflike, margin with discoid glands; calyx reversed, as long as tube. Drupe subglobose, red. The fruit ripens from July to August.
It grows on the edge of mountain forest and under forest. Distributed in Ningxia, Hubei, Shaanxi and other places.

[flavor] fruit: sweet, slightly cool. Seeds: sour, warm.
[function indications] fruit: clearing blood heat, tonifying kidney, treating sore throat and hoarseness; mashing juice, take one wine glass each time, twice a day. Seed: through rash, treatment of measles at the beginning, rash not through; wild cherry seed three money, coriander two money. Take it in water.
