[plant morphology] Thalictrum asiatica
Herbs perennial, glabrous. Stem erect, red, 65-150 cm high. The leaves are alternate, 2-3-fold, 3-compound, with short stalks, sheath like amplexicaul at the base, with leaves 35 cm long; the leaflets are ovoid, 1.6-5.5) cm long, 1-4 cm wide, 3-lobed, lobes entire or sparsely dentate, powdery below, veins raised. Panicle, 10-35 cm long; flowers small, about 7 mm in diameter, yellow green; sepals 4, green white, narrowly ovate, 3-4 mm long; apetalous; stamens numerous, about 7 mm long; carpels 2-4, stigmas arrowhead shaped. Achenes ovoid, 2-3 mm long, with distinct longitudinal ribs.
It grows on the edge of hill or mountain forest and valley. It is distributed in Guizhou, Hubei, Sichuan, Gansu, Shaanxi, North China and Northeast China.
