Plant morphology of Artemisia argyi
Perennial herbs, 30-50 cm high. Stems tufted, slender, erect, white woolly. Leaves alternate, lanceolate to narrowly oblong, 4-6 cm long, 6-12 mm wide, apex acute, entire, base gradually narrowed, green above, white woolly below, sessile; leaves wither at the lower part of stem when flowering. Terminal head, integrated into dense cymes, surrounded by a ring of obovate leaves densely covered with white woolly hairs; involucre campanulate, 3-row, covered with white woolly hairs; marginal flowers female, filiform; disk flowers male, tubular, 5-lobed, yellowish. Achene small, cylindrical, 1-row corolla. It blooms in autumn.
It grows in the grass on the hillside. Distributed in Shaanxi, Hubei, Guizhou and other places.
