Aconitum kusnezoffii

[plant morphology] ① Delphinium yunnanense, also known as Panax quinquefolium var. yunnanense.
Perennial perennial herb with stem height of 40-90 cm. The root is fleshy and yellowish brown. The stem is herbaceous, slender, many branched, pilose at the lower part, glabrous at the upper part, branched, with about 4 leaves. The leaves at the lower part of the stem have long stalks; the leaves are pentagonal, 3.6-5.8 cm long, 5.5-10 cm wide, 3-5-lobed, and each lobe has 2-3 lobes; the 2-lobes are narrowly triangular or lanceolate, sparsely pilose. Raceme terminal, long and narrow, with 3-10 flowers; flowers blue purple, symmetrical; sepals 5, obovate, spur subulate; petals 2, spur; stamens numerous; carpels 3. Follicles 1-1.5 cm long. Seeds pyramidal, narrowly winged along ribs. It blooms in summer.
It grows in meadow, shrub and tidal wetland on hillside. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and other places.
② Delphinium yunnanense
Perennial herbs, 60-100 cm high. Root like. Stem erect, with retroflexed short bristles, leaves equidistant. The lower part of the stem has long petiole; the leaf blade is pentagonal in outline, 4.5-6 cm long and 7.5-11 cm wide, the base is deeply cordate, 3-lobed, with lobules and teeth at the edge of the lobes. Raceme long and narrow, terminal or near terminal; inflorescence axis and pedicel covered with short white hairs and yellow glandular hairs; bracteoles adjacent or near adjacent to flowers, lanceolate; sepals 5, purplish blue, elliptic, 1-1.2 cm long, spur subulate, 1.6-2.1 cm long; staminodes 2, petals blue, 2-lobed, with white hairs; stamens numerous; carpels 3. Seeds densely squamous with transverse wings.
Sparse in forest or hillside. It is distributed in Yunnan.
[collection] in summer and autumn. After processing in hot ash, wash with boiling water, peel, slice and dry.
