[source] it is the tuber of yufenghua, an orchid.
[plant morphology] yufenghua with narrow panicle
herbaceous. The stem is weak, and the inflorescence is 20-40 cm long. Leaves scattered in the lower part of the stem, oblong lanceolate, 3-8 cm long, 8-16 mm wide, the upper leaves degenerate into bracts, apex short pointed, tomb sheath. Spikes 6-15 cm long, very narrow; flowers small, erect, greenish yellow; bracts ovate lanceolate; sepals linear oblong; petals broad, oblong, fleshy, lip equal to sepals, nearly equal to 3-lobed, lateral lobes linear, middle lobes short and broad, blunt; distance from slender, about half of ovary long. It blooms in summer.
It grows in the grass on the hillside. It is distributed in the south of China.

Functions and indications: tonifying deficiency, strengthening stomach and benefiting spleen. Treatment of malnutrition, body deficiency, infantile dyspepsia, diarrhea, rheumatic arthralgia.
