Subshrub, about 1.5m high, covered with white hairs. Stem white, erect. Simple leaves alternate, obovate or elliptic lanceolate, apex acuminate, base broadly cuneate, margin coarsely serrate, below densely covered with white hairs; petiole ca. 1 cm long, white, hairy. Raceme axillary or terminal; flowers golden yellow, petals about 8 mm long, with more white hairs; stamens 5; ovary glabrous. Achene cylindrical, angulate, corolla white, harder.

It grows along the hillside forest, in the wasteland bush. It is distributed in Southwest China.
