[synonyms] Qi Nan Xiang, Qi Nan and Qi Nan.

[source] Daphne plants or white near root wood containing a lot of resin. For the plant morphology, please refer to "Aquilaria".

[collection] select the oil (resin) foot, heavy and waxy wood strips of Aquilaria, and cut off the part with less oil and light color.

[medicinal materials] most of them are oblong strip or block, with green brown (green oil galangan) or purple black (purple oil galangan), smooth oil and few impurities. The cross section is dark purple or purple black after sawing. Scraping with a knife can make a pill. The aroma is rich, bitter and pungent.

Produced in India, Malaysia and other places. It is also produced in Hainan Island of China.

According to the shape, color and quality, the products are divided into green oil, purple sleeve, black oil, green silk, gold silk and Galan horn. Among them, green oil and purple oil are the best.
