[plant morphology] Mikania sibirica

Perennial herbs, 20-50 cm high. The stem is erect, branched at the upper part, with many residual dry petioles at the base. The basal leaves are pinnately divided 2-3 times and the lobes are filiform linear; the stem leaves are pinnately divided 1-2 times. Inflorescence arranged in corymbose; involucre campanulate; corolla tubular, yellow. Achenes short and small.

Born on hillside and dry grassland. It is distributed in Inner Mongolia and other places.

Bitter and cool.

Functions and indications: clearing away heat and toxin, cooling blood. Treatment of infectious diseases, high fever, sore carbuncle, blood stasis tingling.
