[plant morphology] Narcissus (compiled by Materia Medica Society), also known as yasuan (Annals of long things) and Tiancong (notes to Nanyang poems).
Perennial herbs. Bulbs ovoid. Leaves basal; flat, erect, thick, 30-45 cm long, 1-1.8 cm wide, apex obtuse, entire, above pink green. The stem is flat, about as long as the leaf; the spathe is membranous, lanceolate, tubular; the flowers are 4-8, arranged in umbels, flat and downward, fragrant, 2.5-3 cm in diameter, the pedicel protrudes out of the bract; the perianth is saucer shaped, the lower part is tubular, slender, 1.5-2 cm long, the lobes are obovate, expanded and inverted, white; the Corolla is shallow cup-shaped, light yellow; stamens are 6, inserted in the flower The ovary is hypogynous, 3-locular, with many ovules in each locule, slender style and 3-lobed stigma. Capsule cell dorsal dehiscence, from green to brown. Seeds numerous, flat, elliptic. It blooms in winter. The fruiting period is from April to May of the next year.
Most of them are cultivated in flower beds. Distributed in Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangsu, Guizhou, Sichuan and other places.
