[plant morphology] Salix macrophylla
Perennial herbs, 20-50 cm high. Upper part of stem pubescent. Leaves lower opposite, upper alternate, strip lanceolate to substrip, 2-4 cm long, 4-10 mm wide, usually entire. Flowers bisexual, solitary in upper leaf axils, pink, 4-7 mm long; calyx lobes 4, sparsely pubescent outside; petals 4, obovate, apex concave; stamens 8, 4, long and 4 short; ovary inferior, stigma short clavate. The capsule is cylindrical, 4-6 cm long, pubescent, with a cluster of white tassels at the top of the seed.
It is found in swamps and wet hillsides. Distributed in Northeast, North China, northwest, southwest and other places.
