The algae are yellowish green, 10-30 cm long, up to 40 cm long. The body is nearly ovate, the edge is often slightly wavy, or broad leaf like. The thickness is about 45 microns.
It grows on the rocks or bogs in the Bay, middle and low tide zones. It is distributed along the coast of Hainan Island from Zhejiang to Guangdong, and rare along the coast of Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea.
