Tianjiang shell

[synonym] tianjiangke (yinpianxinshen) and Luojiajiao (Pharmacology).
[source] it is the shell of Asclepiadaceae. See "luotiao" for plant morphology.
[collection] mature fruits were harvested in autumn, and their shells were peeled and dried in the sun.
[medicinal materials] the dried fruit shell is boat shaped, its base is blunt and round, and the fruit stalk or abscission scar can be seen; the other end is gradually narrow and long, and the top is reversed; it is about 7-10 cm long and 4 cm wide. The pericarp is about 1.5 mm thick, with yellowish green outer surface, fibrous texture and verrucous protuberance; the inner surface is yellowish white, smooth and moist. The fiber is strong and not easy to break. No smell. It is better to be dry, large and complete, bluish yellow and free of impurities.
Produced in Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang and other places.
