[plant morphology] tangerine
Liana. The stem is much branched and the internodes are 1.2-2.5 cm long. Leaves leathery, oblong or lanceolate, 5-10 cm long and 1.5-5 cm wide, apex acuminate, base obtuse, glabrous, reticulate veins convex on both sides; petiole winged, more than 4-6 cm long and 5-12 mm wide, sometimes much longer than degenerated leaves. The inflorescence stalk is 10-12 mm long, bent down, with 3-5 ovate and invaginated bracts at the lower part; the Buddha flame bract is 4-6 mm long; the fleshy inflorescence is nearly spherical, with a diameter of 4-6 mm; the sepal is 6, with the tip bent in; the stamen is 6, with flat filaments; the ovary is 3-locular, with 1 ovule in each locule, and the stigma is small. Berry red. It blooms in spring.
Born in a dark and humid place, climbing on rocks or trees with Qi. It is distributed in southern China and Sichuan.
