[plant morphology] snake moss

The chloroplast is broad-band, leathery, dark green, slightly glossy, multi-circular, dichotomous, 5-10 cm in length and 1-2 cm in width, with hexagonal or rhombic air chambers visible to the naked eye below, a single stoma in the center of each chamber and 5-6 rows of cells beside the pores. There are many upright vegetative filaments in the air chamber, and the top cells are pear shaped. There is a row of dark purple scales on both sides of the abdomen. Dioecious. Male stipules elliptic discoid, purple, sessile, adnate to the back of the thallus. The female receptacle is cone-shaped, brownish yellow; it has a colorless and transparent long stalk, about 3-5 cm long, attached to the apex of the back of the leaf body; it has 5-8 involucres under the receptacle, and each bract has a pear shaped capsule with short stalk.

Most of them grow on the wet gravel and soil under the forest by the stream. It's all over the country.

[prescription selection] ① for the treatment of finger prickle and back carbuncle: wash and dry snake ground money, grind it into fine powder, mix it with appropriate amount of sugar and tung oil, and apply it to the affected area.

② Treatment of unknown swelling poison and snake injury: divide the fresh snake earth money, fresh plough grass and fresh rotten maidservant leaves into equal parts, drink sweet wine, smash them to pieces, and apply them to the affected area.

③ Treatment of scalds, old sores: snake ground money baked, grind fine powder, tea oil to spread the affected area, or add blood carbon and other points better.
