Guiyujian
Annual erect herb, 15-45 cm high. The root is short and undeveloped. Stem slender, hollow, cylindrical, slightly square at the upper end, solitary, slightly branched, covered with gray white erect or short hairs. Leaves opposite, root leaves broad obovate or ovate, about 2.5-5 cm long, apex obtuse, entire, both sides pubescent; stem leaves sparse, long elliptic or lanceolate, apex obtuse, entire or dentate, upper leaves narrow, alternate; lower main vein slightly prominent, both sides pubescent; petiole very short or absent. The flowers are purple blue, arranged in a tetragonal or oblong spike, less than 2.5 cm in length; bracts 2, triangular lanceolate or broad ovate, both inside and outside covered with rough short hairs; calyx 5-lobed, lobes linear, outside covered with short hairs; corolla tube about twice as long as calyx, throat densely covered with thick long hairs, apex 5-lobed; stamen 4, internal, filaments light purple, T-shaped, black; pistil 1, style rod-shaped . Capsule oblong, compressed, apex acuminate, calyx persistent, locular dorsal cracking, with dozens of small black seeds. The flowering period is from May to September.
Growing in low grass on hillside, roadside or countryside. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan and other places.
