[plant morphology] Osmanthus fragrans
Shrubs rattan, smooth, glabrous. The young stem is black. Leaves opposite, ovate or linear lanceolate, thin leathery, 5-10 cm long, 3-4 cm wide, apex acuminate, base obtuse or cuneate, dark green, base with three veins, petiole short or almost sessile. Cymes terminal or axillary, pedunculate, with 3-5 flowers; petiole 1-2 cm long, bracts linear, 5 mm long, calyx tubular, calyx teeth 5-6; corolla yellow, lobes linear, as long as corolla tube. Berry, black when ripe.
Born on the roadside, in the bush. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and other places.
