[plant morphology] Sophora alopecuroides
Dwarf shrub, 20-60 cm high, with sparse short hairs. Leaflets 13-21, obovate elliptic or oblong elliptic, 5-15 mm long and 3-6 mm wide, apex obtuse or slightly concave, base broadly cuneate, glabrous above and white hairs below; petioles very short; stipules lanceolate, 3 mm long and white hairs below. Axillary raceme, flowers few, light red, 12 mm long; calyx cup-shaped, calyx teeth 5; petal round, apex concave, base clawed, both sides rolled outward, apex pointed, keel longer than petal. The capsule is membranous, yellowish white, oblong, with long stalk and smooth surface. Seeds reniform, round, brown.
It grows on river, ditch, ridge, sandy land and saline land.
Distributed in Hebei, Henan, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu and other places.
