Perennial herbs. The stem is short and stout, 10-15 cm in diameter. The leaves are many, gathered on the top of stem, sword shaped, up to 1 m long, 7-15 cm wide, apex acuminate, entire, base embracing stem. The flowers are white, fragrant, about 20 or more; the petiole is about 2 cm long, and the petiole base has a long linear bracteole; the perianth tube is slender, 8-10 cm long, and the lobes are 6, linear, 7-8 cm long, and 8 mm wide; the stamens are 6, and the filaments and lobes are the same length, the lower part is green, and the middle part is white, Pistil 1, stigma trilobed or capitate, ovary inferior, 3-locular.
