[source] the stem and branch of Clematis sibirica, a Ranunculaceae plant.
[plant morphology] Clematis sibirica
Perennial vines, often climbing on trees and other shrubs with petioles, usually 3-5 meters long. Stem lignified, with swollen nodes, middle stem often hexagonal. Leaves opposite, trifoliolate, leaflets ovate lanceolate or lanceolate, margin serrate. Flowers white or yellow white. Achene oblate, with white corolla.
It grows in mountain forests and shrubs. Distributed in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and other places.
[flavor] bitter, slightly cold, non-toxic.
Functions and indications: clearing heart fire, relieving damp heat and activating blood vessels.
