Perennial herbs. No stem. There are 3-4 leaves. Leaf blade obovate to ovate, 1.5-4 cm long and 1-1.5 cm wide, uppermost leaf small, apex rounded or short pointed. The base is narrow, the edge is obtuse serrate, pinnate vein, shrunk after drying, the leaf surface is uneven, both sides are covered with white pubescence and black brown spots. The flower stems are axillary, 6-12 cm high, with several flowers arranged in the shape of parachute; the calyx is 5-lobed; the Corolla is tubular, and the limbs are 2-lipped, lavender; the stamens are 4, with widely divergent anthers. After the pollen is released, the filaments curl and the anthers are pulled into the corolla tube. Capsule linear, 1.2-2 cm long, 2-lobed at maturity. Seeds spindle shaped.
Born on rocks. It is distributed in Southwest China, Gansu, Shaanxi and Shanxi.
