[plant morphology] Polygonum hydropiper

Annual herb, 60-90cm high, with glandular spots and Tricholoma throughout the plant. Stem erect, or lower part prostrate, usually purplish red, nodes inflated. Leaves alternate, shortly stipitate; leaf blade broadly lanceolate. Apex acuminate, base cuneate, coarsely hairy on both sides, dark green above, with black spots in shape of octagonal; stipules membranous, margin of mouth spiny. The inflorescence is at the end of the branch, the pedicel is slender, 6-12cm long, drooping and sparse; the perianth is 5-lobed, white, scattered with green glands, and the upper part is red; the stamen is 7-8: ovary is 1-locular, and the style is 3. Achene 3-ribbed, with persistent perianth. It blooms in summer.

Born near the wet water. It is distributed in most parts of the country.

Wash and chop the whole fresh Herba Polygonum hydropiper, soak it with water at the ratio of 1:5, boil it with slow fire for 1 hour, filter the juice and fry it again.
