Erect herb, 20-70 cm high, hairy. The taproot is short, with many fibrous roots. Leaves simple, alternate, lanceolate or oblanceolate, upper part of leaf margin shallowly serrate and ciliate. Inflorescence terminal, lavender. Achene, flat, with soft bristles.
It grows on dry grass slopes and undergrowth shrubs. It is distributed in Yunnan and other places.
