[plant morphology] Astragalus sinicus
Annual herbs. Stem erect or creeping, 10-40 cm high. Leaflets 7-13, obovate or elliptic, 5-20 mm long, 5-12 mm wide, apex concave or rounded, base cuneate, both surfaces hirsute; stipules ovate. Umbels are axillary, with 5-9 flowers, more than 10 cultivated flowers, long pedicels; bracts triangular ovate, covered with bristles; calyx campanulate, covered with bristles; corolla purple or yellow white, petal ovate, base cuneate, apex rounded and slightly absent, wing petals slightly short, keel petals and petals equal in length; stamens 10 (9 + 1), ovary style and stigma glabrous. Pods oblong to 2 cm long, black, glabrous. The flowering period is from mid February to early June. The fruit period is from early March to the end of July.
Distributed in Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Henan, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places, and widely cultivated.
