[synonyms] tiller rice (bielu), millet tiller (danliaofang), rice tiller (Gangmu), rice bud (Handbook of traditional Chinese Medicine).
[source] it is the mature fruit of rice, which is a grass plant. See "japonica rice" for plant morphology.
[preparation method] take the picked rice, soak it in water for 1-2 days, take it out and put it in a container, cover it with wet pubao, drench it with water every day, keep it moist, and take it out and dry when the initial rooting (commonly known as bud) is about 3-6 mm long.
[medicinal material] the dried grain bud is oblong and flat, slightly pointed at both ends, 7-9 mm in length and 3-4 mm in width. The lemma surrounds the fruit, and the surface is yellow, hard, with short hairs and five veins. At the base, there are 2 white linear segments, about 2 mm long, in which 1-3 yellowish curved fibrous roots (primary roots) protrude from the inner side of one segment. Peeled lemma, containing 1 grain of white rice, hard, white section, powdery. No gas, slightly sweet taste. The best one is full, uniform, yellow and free of impurities.
It is produced in all rice producing areas in China, especially in the south.
In North China, it is customary to use the caryopsis of millet as a grain bud after germination. See "millet sprouts".
[chemical composition] it contains starch, protein, fat, amylase and vitamin.
[processing] stir fry the sprouts: put them in a pot, stir fry them gently until they are dark yellow and most of them burst. Take them out and let cool. Jiaoguya: put it in a pot, stir fry it with fire until it is scorched yellow, spray water slightly, take it out and air dry.
Sweet and warm.

[formula selection] ① Qi PI food: four liang of rice tillers, as the end, add ginger juice, a little salt, and make a cake, bake; into the fried licorice, Amomum villosum, Atractylodes macrocephala (bran fried) each one or two.
