Herbs perennial, up to 50 cm high, covered with filiform hairs. Roots subwoody, brown, slightly thick. Stem erect, solitary or tufted, base covered with residual old petioles. The leaves of the root leaves and sterile branches have long petioles, with petioles 5 cm long. The leaves are broadly elliptic ovate, 2-3 pinnately divided, and the lobes are narrow linear. The upper leaves of the stem are gradually smaller, alternate, 3-lobed or undivided. The inflorescence is small, sessile or sparsely short pedunculated, arranged in panicles; the involucre is about 4 mm long, the outer involucre is narrow ovate, the middle and inner involucres are narrow oblong, transparent, with green stripes on the back; the florets are numerous, with 3-19 florets in the inflorescence, yellow or reddish brown corolla, narrow throat and sparse glandular dots. Achenes are small. The flowering period is August. The fruiting period is September.
Most of them live in arid grassland. Distributed in Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and other places.
