Herbs perennial, up to 30 cm tall. Bulbs narrowly ovate, covered with pale brown scales. Basal leaves erect, linear, shorter than stem; stem leaves short and smaller. Corymbose cyme terminal, with 3-5 flowers; flowers with long stalks, bent, orange yellow or lower part slightly yellowish brown; perianth persistent; anther introverted; style 1. Capsule narrowly terete, divided into 3 petals. Seeds narrowly terete, angular and marginate.
It grows in the forest margin of high hillside or in the stone crevice of mountain ridge. Distributed in Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet and other places.
[collection] collect in autumn, remove stems, leaves and fibrous roots, wash, dry or fresh.
[natural flavor] it is sweet, slightly bitter and flat in nature.
Functions and indications: moisten the lung, relieve cough, remove phlegm, eliminate inflammation and stop bleeding. Treatment of cough, asthma, pneumonia, bronchitis, carbuncle swelling, sore poison, traumatic bleeding.
