Subshrub like herbs. Stem branched, hairy, base rooting. Leaves opposite; oblong on stem, 6 cm long, 2.5 cm wide, elliptic oblong on branchlets, 2-3 cm long, apex short, base narrow into a short stalk, both sides coarsely hairy, margin obtuse serrate. Flowers densely capitate, terminal and axillary; bracts imbricate, ovate, ca. 1.5 cm long, with long tail, tail 5 mm long, coarsely hairy; bracteoles linear, slightly longer than calyx; calyx about 8 mm long, 5-lobed, lobes linear lanceolate, coarsely hairy; corolla yellow, ca. 1.5 cm long, lobes 5, rotated; stamens 4, paired, anthers 2-locular.
