New Chrysanthemum
(commonly used Chinese herbal medicine in Tibet)
[synonym] seerjun mumeido (Tibetan name).
The inflorescence is a new plant of Compositae.
[plant morphology] taxinju, also known as xiaohuangju in Western Sichuan.
Herbs perennial, sparsely woolly. The leaf blade is narrow and oblong, ctenoid division, lobes thin linear, upper leaves often sessile. Inflorescence solitary at the top of stem; involucral bracts multilayered, oblong, apex pointed or obtuse, back green, margin purple, membranous; ligulate flowers 1-layered, ligulate narrow and long, purple yellow; tubular flowers many, yellow; no obvious corona.
It is found in the damp places of alpine grassland. Distributed in Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan and other places.
[collection] flowers were collected from August to September and dried in the shade.

Cold in nature and bitter in taste.
Functions and indications: promoting blood circulation, removing dampness, eliminating inflammation and relieving pain. Treatment of traumatic injury, damp heat syndrome.
