Deciduous shrubs. Stem erect, about 3 meters high, young branches quadrangular, reddish brown, densely covered with fine hairs. Leaf blade elliptic lanceolate or elliptic ovate, 4-7 cm long, 1-2.5 cm wide, apex acute, base cuneate, entire, lateral veins 2-4 pairs, ascending to apex, both sides covered with hairs, petiole 5-8 mm long. Cymes corymbose, terminal, pubescent; florets white; calyx teeth lanceolate triangular; petals 4, lanceolate; stamens 4; ovary subglobose, densely covered with grayish white closely pubescent. Drupe ovate, black.
Born in the hillside, stream, forest shade. Distribution in Shaanxi, Gansu, Hubei to southwest, South China and other places.
