[plant morphology] perennial herb, 30-40 cm high. The diameter of bulb is 1-1.5cm. The leaves are opposite, some with 3-4 whorls or scattered in the middle, strip-shaped to strip-shaped lanceolate, 5-10 cm long, 3-7 (~ 12) mm wide, and some with slightly curved apex. The flower is single, each flower has 3 leaflike bracts, the tip of bracts is sometimes curved, but never curled; perianth is 6, 3-4cm long, greenish yellow, without square plaques, usually only with purple plaques on both sides near the tip of perianth; outer ring is 3, narrowly obovate oblong, 9-12mm wide, apex rounded; inner ring is 3, nearly spatulate, 12-17mm wide, 3-5mm wide, apex convex and blunt, The nectary pit is hardly protruding or slightly protruding; anthers are nearly basifixed; filaments usually have small papillae; style splitting part is 3-4mm long. The capsule is 1.8-2.5cm long and the narrow wing on the edge is 0.5-2mm wide. The flowering period is from May to June and the fruiting period is from June to July.
It is mainly distributed in Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan and Hubei.
