[source] it is the aerial part of Polygonum aviculare L.
[plant morphology] annual herb, 10-40cm in height, often with white powder; stem tufted, creeping or obliquely ascending, green, furrowed, leaves longitudinally, linear to lanceolate, 1-4cm in length and 6-10cm in width, apex obtuse or acute, base cuneate, subsessile; Stipule sheathy, lower brown, upper white transparent, with obvious veins. The flowers have 1-5 clustered leaf axils, exposing the outside of the stipule sheath, short pedicel, with joints at the base; perianth 5-lobed, lobes elliptic, dark green, margin white or light red; stamens 8; style 3-lobed. Achene ovate, more than 2 mm long, with edge on the surface, brown or black, with inconspicuous dots. The flowering and fruiting period is from May to October.
