Personal life
marriage and family
1. A happy marriage
Cheng Jishu (1901-april 30, 1974), who was originally from Jixi, Anhui Province, married Liang Shiqiu in February 1927. He has three daughters and one son, the eldest, Liang Wenxi; the second, Liang Wenqi; the fourth, Liang Wenqiang.
Cheng Jishu was born in a famous family. Her grandfather once worked as a magistrate of Daming Prefecture in Zhili Province. Her father was the eldest son of her family and ran a pen and ink shop in Beijing. In the winter of 1921, Liang Shiqiu dated Cheng Jishu for the first time. Both of them have been in Peiping for a long time. In 1923, Liang Shiqiu finished his eight year life in Tsinghua University and packed his luggage according to the school's requirements to study in the United States.
On February 11, 1927, Liang Shiqiu and Cheng Jishu, who returned home from their studies, held a wedding ceremony at the European and American student association along the Nanhe River in Beijing.
On July 28, 1937, when Peiping fell, Liang Shiqiu felt that his earlier political comments were likely to lead to disaster, and a friend suggested that he had been on the "blacklist" of the Japanese army, and the best policy was to escape from Peiping. But my mother-in-law is old and frail, unable to bear the pain of running. He and Cheng Jishu weigh a few days, decided that he left alone, wait for the situation to slow down, and then make plans. In the spring of 1943, Cheng Jishu's mother died of illness. When she and her children stood in front of Liang Shiqiu with a lot of luggage, Cheng Jishu was 43 years old. Her eyes were wrinkled and her ears were white. Liang Shiqiu not only worked for the state affairs with the enthusiasm of an intellectual, but also did not forget to write and translate.
In 1974, Liang Shiqiu and Cheng Jishu lived happily in Seattle, USA. however, on April 30, Liang Shiqiu and his wife went shopping in the market, and a ladder on the street suddenly fell on Cheng Jishu. She died of serious injury. His wife's death is a heavy blow to Liang Shiqiu. He wrote a book named "memories of Huaiyuan dream" to express his mourning for his dead wife. The latest edition of Huaiyuan Mengyi was published by Tianjin People's Publishing House in 2013.
2. A sudden love affair
Xuxian Han Jingqing (1931-1994) was born in October 1931. His father was a tycoon and later moved to Shanghai. At the age of 7, she won the first prize in the children's singing competition in Shanghai at one stroke. At the age of 14, she became the "Queen of singers" and a brilliant new star in Shanghai. In 1949, Han Jingqing went to Hong Kong with his father. She wrote, acted, sang and produced "my love is you", which won her the Golden Horse Award for outstanding actor.
Liang Shiqiu, 71, was invited to Taiwan six months after his wife's death. He met Han Jingqing, 28 years younger. Meet the next day, he according to the address she provided the day before, Liang Shiqiu and Cheng Jishu couple deep love
Early in the morning, I stood at her downstairs and looked up. When I got home, I talked with her for an afternoon. At this time, she was sensitive to his true feelings for her, but she wanted to stop the growth of this love, so when they met again, she said to him, "I want to be a matchmaker for you." "I love matchmaker."
At that time, the love between Liang and Han caused a big stir in Taiwan. Liang Shiqiu's students even set up a "nurse group" to oppose their union. What the opponents object to is not that the age difference between them is nearly 30 years old. If Liang Shiqiu married a young female professor, they would congratulate him one after another. What they object to is that Han Jingqing is a "singer" and a "dramatist".
Since we met, Liang Shiqiu has been with Han Jingqing every day, either talking about literature and art, or doing state affairs, or eating or walking together Liang Shiqiu is the first to express his heart to Han Jingqing. He has experienced the ups and downs of love. Love to her is a sweet and painful word. However, she has passed the age full of fantasy, and the biggest obstacle in front of her is that Liang Shiqiu is 71 years old. She understood that there was no age limit to love, but he was in his old age, wearing a hearing aid to hear, and suffering from severe diabetes
Compared with her, Liang Shiqiu is indomitable and aggressive. Since the sixth day of acquaintance, like doing homework, Liang Shiqiu delivered a letter to her face every day. In the face of her hesitation, he wrote: "do not say the cliff is the crater, we have to embrace and jump." Liang Shiqiu's fiery love finally opened all the intellectual passes of Han Jingqing. In those days, he suddenly became much younger, red and energetic, and the depression of his wife's death was swept away.
On January 7, 1975, Liang Shiqiu flew back to the United States because his wife died. He said: "kiss, my heart has been confused, sorrow has begun to threaten me, God is merciless, cruel Naier!" Han Jingqing, who is alone in the boudoir, wrote: "Qiu: when you leave, it seems that all the people in Taipei follow you. My home is an empty one, and the city is also deserted!"
After Liang Shiqiu returned to the United States, the love between Liang and Han suddenly became a "news storm" on Taiwan Island. Professor and movie star love at dusk Similar headlines appear frequently in newspapers. The spearhead is Han Jingqing. Miss Han is young and beautiful. Why is she allowed to marry an old man in her 70s? Name or wealth? Most articles think that it is a blasphemy to Liang Shiqiu to let Han Jingqing marry a "national treasure" master. And a large number of his students, who already have quite high social status, even under the banner of "nurse group", oppose the love between Liang and Han.
For Liang Shiqiu, this is a love related to life. He said: "I am like a dying tree trunk, inserted in a strong tree, suddenly full of vitality and leaves, and may even blossom and bear fruit. Baby, you give me a new life. You know what? You know what My favorite color in the past is melancholy, you dial the clouds for me to see the blue sky,
