Chen Zi, born in 1683 and died in 1759, is a famous Neo Confucianist, poet and calligrapher in the early and middle Qing Dynasty.
Life of the characters

He should not take the imperial examination and was not an official all his life. In his later years, he opened a library in Jungu garden of Hu family in Yuyao North Township, and taught Zhu Sheng. He devoted himself to the dissemination of Zhu Zi's Neo Confucianism. He had a good friendship with Li Kai, a Fengtian scholar, known as "South Chen North Li".
