Xiao Lihua

Born on May 26, 1955 in Tianjin, director, chief physician, professor and doctoral supervisor of Institute of orbital diseases, General Hospital of Chinese people's armed police force. Xiao Lihua graduated from Tianjin Medical University in 1982 with a master's degree and a doctor's degree. Published 60 academic papers and participated in the preparation of 7 monographs. The monographs "orbital surgery and illustrations" and "Color Atlas of orbital surgery" written by myself filled the domestic blank in this field. Enjoy government subsidies from the State Council. He was awarded the major technical contribution award of the whole army by the four headquarters.

Clinical work

Xiao Lihua learned from Professor Song Guoxiang, the most famous expert of orbital diseases in China. Over the past 25 years, he has been engaged in scientific research, teaching and clinical work of orbital diseases, and has rich clinical experience. It can handle all kinds of complicated and difficult orbital diseases, and carry out more than 4000 cases of complicated orbital surgery. Every year, we receive a large number of domestic and online patients with difficult orbital diseases. In China, we have taken the lead in carrying out complex lateral orbitotomy including upper and lower orbital margin, coronal incision lateral orbitotomy, vascular malformation surgery, complex neurilemmoma resection, cranio orbital communicating tumor resection, etc., which has significantly reduced the complications of orbital surgery and significantly improved the cure rate, and has been highly praised by domestic ophthalmology circles. He is often invited to consult, give lectures and demonstrate orbital surgery in medical colleges, military hospitals and local large and medium-sized hospitals in Beijing and other provinces and cities in China. Every year, many orbital tumors recur after treatment in other places, saving the lives of some children with orbital malignant tumors.

Professor Xiao Lihua received consultation on difficult orbital diseases from hospitals in Beijing and other provinces and cities, including almost all large and medium-sized hospitals in Beijing and orbital patients in domestic provinces and cities. More than 500 cases of various orbital operations are performed every year, many of which are complex orbital operations transferred from other hospitals.

Orbital surgery is a high-risk operation in the field of Ophthalmology, with many serious complications. He has reduced the probability of vision loss in orbital surgery to less than 0.5%, significantly reduced the tumor recurrence rate, improved the success rate, and reached the international advanced level in this regard.

Monographs and articles

1. In 1999, Xiao Lihua published the book "orbital surgery and illustration", which introduces the diagnosis, surgical treatment and treatment of various orbital diseases in detail. This book fills the blank of no monograph on orbital surgery in ophthalmology in China, and has become a compulsory textbook for ophthalmologists and graduate students in some large hospitals in China.

In October 2003, a book about the procedure of orbital surgery was published by Shanghai military library. Modern diagnostics of orbital diseases was published in early 2006. 3. Participated in the compilation of 13 books.

Published articles: 60 articles about orbital diseases have been published (the first author). In order to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of orbital diseases in our country, we have set up special lectures in several ophthalmic journals and publicized the knowledge of orbital diseases.
