Chen Derong

Chen Derong

Chen Derong was born in 1918 in Shanghai.

In 1938, he joined the New Fourth Army and assigned to third regiments and fifth regiments as staff officers. He joined the Communist Party of China in November 1939. He was arrested during the South Anhui Incident in January 1941 and was locked up in the third squadron of the "political die hard team" in Shangrao concentration camp. On June 19, 1942, he died bravely in the collective massacre of Hushan temple in jiaoting village, Chongan county.
